Account information: name, email address, and profile photo, obtained via Google Sign-In.
Business information (Merchants only): legal business name, EIN or equivalent tax ID, business address, website, phone number, and service category, submitted during verification.
Transaction data: Idles balance, transaction and order history, service listings, and related records.
Content you provide: reviews, ratings, review photos, profile/gallery photos, and any other content you upload.
Phone number: if provided, used to send transactional SMS notifications about your orders.
Usage data: device and browser information and analytics collected automatically via Vercel Analytics.
Identity verification: if you complete identity verification, a government-issued ID and related details are collected and processed by our verification provider (Stripe Identity). We receive the verification result and do not store your ID document.
Location data: business and pickup addresses you provide, which we convert to map coordinates through a geocoding service to display listings on the map.
We use the information above to: operate and maintain the Platform; process transactions and Idles balances; send order, account, and transactional notifications (including via SMS and in-app notifications); moderate uploaded content (including through automated review by a third-party AI service) to enforce platform safety standards; prevent fraud and abuse; and improve the Platform.
If you provide a phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to your account and orders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. We do not use your phone number for marketing without separate consent.
We share information with the service providers that power the Platform, strictly to provide its functionality: Google (sign-in authentication), Telnyx (SMS delivery), Resend (email delivery), Cloudinary (image hosting), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting and analytics), Stripe (identity verification), OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (address geocoding), and Anthropic (automated content moderation of uploaded images and text). We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Certain information — including your business profile, services, reviews, and ratings — is visible to other users as part of the Platform's core marketplace functionality.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
When you request deletion of your data, we anonymize your personal information (such as your name, email, phone number, and photos). We retain certain records where permitted or required by law — including completed transaction history for tax and legal purposes, and a one-way hashed identifier used to prevent fraud and abuse. Retained records are not used to personally identify you for any other purpose.
You may update your account information at any time through your dashboard and opt out of SMS notifications by replying STOP. You may request deletion of your personal data directly from your dashboard, or by emailing support@idle.business. When you submit a request, your public profile is hidden immediately, and we process the deletion within 45 days. As described in Section 5, some information is retained after deletion where permitted or required by law, including for security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
The Platform is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
