IDLE is built so that every member can trade with confidence. Here's how we keep the platform safe.
Businesses can't simply sign up and start transacting. Every Merchant application is manually reviewed before going live, including the legal business name, EIN or equivalent tax ID, business address, website, and service category. If a business can't demonstrate it's legitimate, it isn't approved.
Some categories carry more risk than others. For categories like car rental and transportation, IDLE requires additional identity verification — such as a valid driver's license — on top of standard business verification, for both the Merchant providing the vehicle and the Customer renting it. This requirement may be extended to other higher-risk categories as the platform grows.
Every image uploaded to IDLE — gallery photos, merchant logos, customer avatars, and service photos — is automatically screened before it's published, to catch nudity, graphic violence, hate symbols, and other content that has no place on a business platform.
Every review is also automatically screened before it's published, to catch harassment, threats, spam, and doxxing — while genuine negative or critical feedback about a real experience is never penalized. Reviews are meant to be honest, not filtered for positivity.
On top of automated screening, any user can report a photo they believe is inappropriate. Reported content is hidden immediately while it's reviewed, rather than staying visible until someone happens to notice.
Reviews that come from a real, completed transaction are marked with a Verified Purchase badge, so you can tell which feedback comes from an actual customer of that Merchant.
No order charges instantly. The receiving Merchant has to confirm it first — they can confirm it as-is, adjust it, or decline it. If a Merchant doesn't respond in time, the order is automatically canceled and nothing is ever charged.
IDLE provides the verification, moderation, and order tools described above, but the actual service exchanged is always between the Merchant and the Customer (or other Merchant) directly. We don't guarantee the outcome of any individual service, but we do give you the tools to know who you're dealing with, see how others rated them, and only pay once they've confirmed the order.
